PTERA is a company on a mission to bridge the gap between activewear and streetwear. Our name is derived from the Latin word ptera, which means wings. We chose this name because we believe that wings represent the determination and ambition of our customers who strive to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. In the fitness world, wings have a direct connotation to a person's lats on their back, which is a muscle group that many gym-goers aspire to develop. We chose the name PTERA to represent this concept of strength and empowerment that comes with reaching your fitness goals.

 

Jake and Henry, the founders of PTERA, are two college students with a passion for lifting and design. Their journey began in high school, where they discovered a shared love for fashion, fitness, and design. Now, as sophomores in college, they are excited to bring their passion to life and offer a unique style to the world.

We believe that fashion and sustainability can coexist, and we are constantly looking for ways to improve our production process. given that we are a small, made to order company, each order is produced specifically for each client allowing for a unique customer experience.
